UBI CDC | Comfort Delgro Driving Centre

Updated: Feb 13

In April 1996, Comfort Driving Centre (CDC) began its journey with a modest fleet of just six cars. Over the years, it has evolved into a full-service driving center now boasting 250 cars and motorcycles, offering an extensive array of driving courses. These include Class 3 and 3A for cars, and Class 2 for motorcycles, catering to a wide range of learner drivers' needs.

Situated in the Ubi area, close to the industrial park, CDC offers convenient access to learners, being a mere 10-minute walk from Ubi MRT station. It holds the distinction of being the sole driving school serving the eastern region of Singapore. Despite this exclusivity, its comprehensive service offerings and strategic location have made it a popular choice among learners.

CDC's proximity to a vibrant community is evident, with private driving instructors often found congregating at a nearby coffee shop close to Gate 1, the common rendezvous point for students. These instructors bring to the table over 30 years of experience, offering available slots for lessons that are competitively priced between $36 to $60 per session. This variance in pricing accounts for the lesson's duration and timing, with automatic transmission cars generally commanding a higher rate per hour. For the latest on driving lesson fees, prospective learners are encouraged to consult the center's detailed rate list.

For those planning a visit to Comfort Driving Centre, it's recommended to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early, especially given its somewhat hidden location near an industrial estate. The easiest commuting options include taking bus 51, 93, or 94 from Eunos MRT station or bus 137 from Ubi MRT station, alighting after two stops and walking approximately three minutes to the center.

CDC's curriculum is meticulously designed to cater to learners interested in motorcars with an unladen weight not exceeding 3000KG, capable of carrying no more than seven passengers, excluding the driver. The enrollment criteria underscore the center's commitment to safety and regulatory compliance, requiring learners to be at least 18 years old, in good mental and physical health, pass eyesight and color-blindness tests, and adhere to the Driver Improvement Point System (DIPS) regulations.

Learners at CDC have the option to choose between automatic or manual transmission cars for their driving lessons, further tailoring the learning experience to individual preferences and needs.

For those eager to embark on their driving journey with CDC, located at 205 Ubi Ave 4, Singapore 408805, the center welcomes inquiries for booking practical driving lessons with its highly qualified private instructors.
